Borvul, Borrachas Vulcanizadas, Lda was set up in 1981 with a capital of 15,000 Pte, and its activity consists of the manufacture of rubber articles. It emerged as a result of the need to complement the range of products offered by Empobor, a company already in existence and belonging to the same partners, and the objective was to create a different line of products to those offered by Empobar.
Borvul eventually came to fulfil market needs for pre-cured treads for cold retreading, such as curing tubes and envelopes.
In 1987, the company decided to expand its activity and premises, and in the same year, the capital was increased to 60,000 Pte.
From 1993, BORVUL began to manufacture a new product, conveyor belts.
